that lit up the world
and the faces of people
but one day the sky shook and all the stars fell
a little girl came along and saw the stars on the ground
"catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, never let it fade away..."
so she picked one up
the sky was barren
a scientist thought, "hey, let's make stars that will shine for man forever"
so he made lights that could light a room on its own
the pathways for people
and the city was never dark again
